Although stiff, dense and structurally sound, once washed, this is a cotton fabric that can easily be translated into draping applications. Note that cotton canvas fabrics become much softer and more flexible after being washed and flat ironed while damp. This particular canvas not only becomes softer, but formulates a brushed, almost velvety surface texture. We highly suggest washing this fabric before using it as cotton canvas materials are known to shrink and this cotton’s structural aspect completely alters.
